Georgia Virtual Learning extends online learning opportunities to public school students, private school, and home school students. Parent involvement is vital to student success, and the Georgia Virtual School invites parents to join in student learning and encourages parents to partner with course facilitators and instructors.
Georgia Virtual Learning consists of three separate environments: Georgia Virtual School, Georgia Virtual Credit Recovery Program, and Georgia Virtual Professional Learning. Parents of new GaVS students must create accounts before students may apply for courses. Parent accounts furnish parents with a window into student learning environments and provide valuable access to course materials, academic progress, and student deadlines throughout the learning experience.
The content in Georgia Virtual courses is available for anyone to view. Parents can access the courses on our free Shared Content page. Courses are divided into modules and are aligned with the Georgia Standards of Excellence.
